We all are building our own world around internet nowadays. So there are some disscussions about that we are getting individual and lonely. Are we really? I'm looking at myself first. Yes, I'm using internet more often last few years. I'm in IT more than 30 years. Meaning when I began to work there were no internet, there were no machine for everyone. It was mainframe time. I met to internet in 1989 here in Turkey at job side. Still it was not at homes. In the year 2000 I had internet at home.
At job side I used internet more often till 2005 when I left the job I was working for. Since then I'm using internet much more often at home.
As I see "individualism" is at the forefront of internet. Yes, there are many companies using it to for many reasons like marketing, getting cheap solutions and selling their goods, so on.
Is the reason internet only? I don't think so, with social networks on the internet made individualism to come front. So we should blame the social networks :)) Should we?
Please read my writing about same topic at blogger, here is the link; Individualism.. is what we are getting in or loneliness..
I think individualism is important. I'm seeing more freelancer than before. Social networks connects people on the earth. As I said many times since 2008 when I first met Cloud Computing, at the end we all are going to be connected each other, eventhough we are individulas. And I don't think we are over using internet yet. It is important not to loose individualism while connecting to the world. Everyone of us have different characteristics.
